Hot Lips

It should come as no surprise to anyone that I love lipstick products. I love the bold reds, dark plum, and berry colours. They have such a cool tone and really can go from day to night if worn correctly. Even though I am a bold girl when it comes to style and individuality, what I love most is trying something completely new. To my delight I was contacted by Charlotte Tilbury to try a new lipstick from the hot lips collection. I have always been a fan of lipsticks since they are convenient to travel with and make putting on makeup a breeze.

Charlotte Tilbury has always said, “I always say lipstick empowers confidence-it’s happiness in a tube!” Her new hot lips collection is a collaboration with 12 incredible, iconic, women! My shade is Miranda May which is Miranda Kerr’s shade. I love the colour it comes off like a light pinkish tone on me. It features a square-angled tip that is designed to mimic a lip brush, as well as being enriched with Orchid Extract, and 3D pigments for cashmere soft lips that look lit from within.

This fresh pinky coral was inspired by the sunsets of Malibu and Bondi Beach. This shade perfectly matches an effortless fresh faced beauty. The colour contrast makes my blue eyes light up and sparkle. I really loved the shiny golden tube that came in the packaging. It looked so beautiful and gave off this radiant and alluring tone which defiantly caught my eye. The shade is a luminous modern matte that gives a wonderful colour pay off. You get this gorgeous tone that is highly pigmented, light to the touch, and doesn’t dry out your lips.

If my epic new direction can teach me anything, it is that a lip product can have a profound effect on your beauty routine. The right shade can really highlight your best features and bring them out to centre stage. I love how the lipstick makes my skin glow and really brighten up my face. I am officially addicted to the new hot lips collection by Charlotte Tilbury after using this glamorous shade!

Miranda May is perfect for anyone who is going all natural in the face, or glamming it up for a night out on the town. You can wear this with a dressy casual look as I have done here in Mile High Super Skinny Jeans by Levis, paired with a grey vintage blazer, and suede ankle boots. If you were going out to dinner and having cocktails, you can easily switch your look up with a classic black dress to really set the night in motion.

Get experimental, take a bit of the lipstick and place it over your eyelids and blend with your finger. This gives your lids the ultimate tropic crush, that will make your eye shadow pop with vivid colour. Often snubbed in favour of a more conventional red, it’s time for coral to enjoy its moment in the spotlight. And rightly so: its complexion-boosting benefits makes your skin tone appear naturally beautiful.
